Explore and enhance your teaching approach by integrating active learning strategies into your classroom. This approach helps redefine the educational experience by shifting from passive reception to active engagement. You will learn to define active learning, identify and implement diverse strategies, and revamp traditional lectures or activities to foster a more interactive learning environment. By the end of this sprint, you will have mastered the tools to encourage students to take an active role in their learning journey, ensuring your classroom becomes a dynamic space for exploration and discovery.

  • Define active learning as an instructional method engaging students in the learning process beyond listening and passive note-taking
  • Identify three active learning strategies to implement in their classroom practice with minimal support
  • Revise an existing lecture or activity to include active learning by using two processes discussed in the sprint
