The Online Teaching Essentials sprint is part of the Flexible Online Teaching Recertification (FOTR) program. The Online Teaching Essentials sprint will be required, and participants will select two additional sprint mini-courses to fit their individual needs and interests.

Learning Outcomes

• Identify resources available to UM System faculty to support teaching and learning.
• List key trends in online learning as identified by the Online Learning Consortium and EDUCAUSE.
• Identify data that can be used to assess online course quality and effectiveness, including student feedback, peer feedback, and Canvas analytics.
• Use the Missouri Online Quality Course Review (QCR) rubric to identify and articulate areas of your online course to enhance or optimize.
• Develop or enhance a professional development plan informed by feedback or data from courses you've taught.
