The Online Teaching Essentials sprint is part of a new alternative pathway to online teaching recertification. The Online Teaching Essentials sprint will be required, and participants will select two additional sprint mini-courses to fit their individual needs and interests.

Learning Outcomes

• Identify resources available to UM System faculty to support teaching and learning.
• List key trends in online learning as identified by the Online Learning Consortium and EDUCAUSE.
• Identify data that can be used to assess online course quality and effectiveness, including student feedback, peer feedback, and Canvas analytics.
• Use the Missouri Online Quality Course Review (QCR) rubric to identify and articulate areas of your online course to enhance or optimize.
• Develop or enhance a professional development plan informed by feedback or data from courses you've taught.
